Poster announcement for 'The Air We Breathe; The Chicago Clean Air Design Challenge.' The 2011 competition focuses on air quality in two of Chicago's most affected neighborhoods, Pilsen and Little Village, where the residents live below two coal-powered plants that regularly emit lead and other toxins into the air. The competition was organized by Design Makes Change (www.designmakeschange.com), a volunteer group that partners with organizations, community leaders, businesses and education bodies to organize and support a series of annual design competitions to address Chicago's environmental, social and infrastructural issues. 11 x 17, 2-color.
