Movies Now, client
“Movies Now was having a Charlie Chaplin festival, featuring classics like Modern Times, The Great Dictator, The Circus and City Lights. To create the identity, we first designed a logo inspired by Chaplin’s iconic bowler hat and mustache. Then, for each movie, we made small changes in the design to reflect the plot. The eyes became gears for Modern Times. For The Great Dictator, the hair took on a Hitler-like look, and so on. In a sense, the logo became the face of the festival. And for once, the client wasn’t asking us to make the logo bigger.” 16 1/2 × 23 1/4, 4-color, digital.
