“Open Door Design Studio collaborated with Kohler Co. to provide Indian truck art–inspired designs for Caltech’s winning entry to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s 2012 Reinvent the Toilet Challenge. Kohler helped Caltech with the design and user experience of the mobile restroom, which was equipped with a solar-powered water treatment system. To integrate the local culture into the restroom displayed at the Reinvent the Toilet Fair in New Delhi, Kohler asked ODDS to develop the exterior design concepts.”
