“A Morning and a Night and a Morning and a Night at the Opera” 2:30 To create this time-lapse film of set preparations at the Metropolitan Opera, Stephen Mallon used five Canon DSLR cameras, each taking one shot every five seconds. From the more than 43,000 pictures of sets for Rigoletto, Le Comte Ory and La Rondine, Mallon, with the help of Catriona Stuart, a video assignment editor at the New York Times, edited the number down to 4,500 or so to produce the film and then set it to the music of Rigoletto."
