Kat Von D is one of those rare clients who is a blessing to work with. As an artist, she understands the concept of trust and creative freedom. Kat asked me to create a handlettered graphic with the name High Voltage Tattoo. Of course putting the name into a skull shape seemed an obvious direction, but I wasn't sure if I could retain readability in such a specific shape. I had done a few other 'lettering illustration' pieces before, but nothing this ambitious.
