The Italian key art for I Am Love highlighted the film's ensemble cast, but for the U.S. version it was important to feature Tilda Swinton as the matriarch of this austere family. Contractual obligations to size actors' names at a certain percentage of the title size or even to show their faces did not apply, so we enjoyed creative license in manipulating the photography and typography to achieve a modern and classical look.
