Taiwan and China visually hold The Chinese Characters Festival together; this is the first time Taiwan has held the event alone. The Chinese characters are composed by eight strokes; I used the eight strokes to compose a Chinese Opera Mask—a typeface to represent a Chinese face. I asked the Chinese Opera makeup artist to paint the logo onto the face of a Chinese Opera actor to make the poster. 28 x 40, 4-color, offset. Typeface: Helvetica.
