A modern beer hall and restaurant, WURST wanted to reflect its Bavarian roots, but in a way that wasn't a German cliché. So for menu covers we used an expected black letter typeface, Fette Fracktur Black, and set it into amusing lines such as, 'We're bringing mustard back.' We contrasted this on the reverse with Futura Extra-Bold Condensed for menu headers and ITC Franklin Gothic Book Condensed for food descriptors. The result? Deliciousness.
