The New York Times OP-ED Friday, December 23, 2011. The title of the article was 'Philanthropy by the Rest of Us' and dealt with the idea of the 99 percent changing their focus from protest to taking action in order to make a difference in the economy. The author reminded us that in the early 1900s, Christmas Seals were sold for less than a dollar and raised millions. This demonstrated the philanthropic power of a grass roots effort; the illustration demonstrated that idea. Typeface: Cyclone.
