The signs identifying the MCA Australia on Sydney Harbour opposite the Sydney Opera House were conceived as a continuation of the architectural concept; erosion of the existing symmetrical mass into a series of asymmetrical intersecting concrete volumes culminating in the three-dimensional and three-directional glowing entry signs. These had to be read from all directions, from large distances, by day and night and, above all, be expressive of the contemporary nature of the museum. Typeface: Katerine Standard Medium.
