“We were asked to design a label as a farewell gift from Braman Winery to George Strait, for his departure from the stage. Using lyrics from his song ‘Somewhere Down in Texas,’ we styled the typography to be reminiscent of antique rodeo and Old West posters. Production techniques such as debossing, embossing and foil stamping give a tip of the hat to the quality of both the artist and the wine.” Typefaces: Black No. 7, Trade Gothic LT.
