Australia has a proud tradition of exporting local talent to the U.S. market, so the selection of Andrew Stockdale, lead singer of Wolfmother, as a subject for a self-promotional mailer was an easy one. Although the visual possibilities were numerous, I was careful not to over-conceptualize the painting, so that Stockdale could be seen as both human or wolf, singing or howling. 18 x 24, acrylic on Masonite.
