I began illustrating the fairy tale, Rothkaeppchen [Red Riding Hood], just for myself. After I had completed the illustrations, I contacted the Deutsche Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur (German Academy for Children's and Juvenile literature), who published the collection. The calendar not only includes my thirteen illustrations, it also recites the Grimms' original texts dating back to 1812.
