This poster was a submission for the World AIDS Day 2011 poster competition organized by AIDS Global Action. The direction was to think beyond the stereotypical AIDS poster clichés and bring a fresh voice to the cause. It's an empowering image with a serious tone, that doesn't rely on scare tactics or accusations.
