Bruno, The Child Who Learned to Fly, by Nadia Terranova, is about Bruno Schulz, the distinguished Polish Jewish writer and artist who grew up with a father who was gradually losing his sanity. Bruno, a sensitive child, could recognize and admire his father's brilliant, creative mind and his relationship with him was the source of his inspiration. He grew up to be a very unique writer and artist. In November 1942, Schulz was killed by a Nazi officer on the street of Drohobycz, his hometown. 8 x 11, acrylic on board, collage.
