The design of the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital is based on the concept of a living tree, a network of trunks, branches and leaves, that provides internal spaces in an ordered hierarchy. Incorporating the architect's intent, Dotdash designed a wayfinding strategy that includes a collection of signage and environmental graphics—which provides a cohesive system of navigation. The family of wayfinding components works in unity to distract from the nature of the hospital environment by expressing a bold, vibrant aesthetic. Each component lightens the hospital experience for its young visitors.
