“An invitation to Gillis’s annual Spirit Awards, which honors philanthropic stars of Kansas City. Subtle motifs of astrolabes and star maps create a sophisticated celestial theme, emphasizing the above-and-beyond efforts of those recognized. Challenges faced were a limited budget and the need for a direct mail piece. The solution fits standard mailing regulations, but opens similarly to a map, connecting back to the concept of exploration. We furthered its life by adding a poster to the reverse side, allowing recipients to create additional exposure.” 6 x 9, folded, 18 x 24, flat, 4-color (gold, silver, navy, black).
