“This specimen book was a collaborative activity designed by the students in a type design class. In four groups—layout, format, materials and language—students worked collegially to develop the concept, the aesthetic and the spirit of Dingbats & Diphthongs. This typographic archive contains excerpts from the original type design project brief provided to the students in phases. And most important, it showcases the original typefaces designed by the hard-working students I had the honor of working with in winter 2015.”
