“Stefnumót við skógarsamfélag/Gathering Forest and Community, a collaborative workshop between the Icelandic company Sam-félagið and American and Swedish artists participating in the Designers & Forests project, focused on the history, environment and materials found in the Hallormsstaðaskógur forest of East Iceland. So it seemed fitting to draw inspiration from the topographic maps of the region. The illustration was created with 40 layers of cut paper, built off a base of Priori Sans and stacked and photographed to echo the terrain of Austerland.
