“The beverage name Bozal, a Spanish word that means ‘untamed,’ refers to the wild species of agave grown in the outer regions of the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Guerrero. We created a series of rustic ceramic bottles that hint at the clay copitas, or ‘drams,’ traditionally used for drinking mescal.”
