“Alicia Dana, who is based in Vermont, was an avid road cyclist and cross-country skier in her teens. At the age of seventeen, she fell from a tree and was paralyzed from the waist down. In her late twenties, she began handcycling, and today, she is a decorated Paralympic athlete. I was lucky enough to spend the day with her while she unpacked from her cycling trip in Italy.”
