Cafe Mary was a series of pro-bono posters for The Oaks, a nonprofit progressive school in Los Angeles. The provocative campaign was designed to welcome and integrate the new head, Mary Fauvre, into the community. Turn-out exceeded expectations and the event has since become a staple on the school calendar. Cafe Mary II: All sorts of mischievous double meanings lurk between the collision of Russian avant-garde design and Americana. Cafe Mary III: Another juxtaposition designed to stop the viewer with a jaunty twist on the familiar. A particularly large turnout attended that week.
