“The project shows my artistic interpretation of Cape Town, South Africa. Although the apartheid laws in South Africa have been officially abolished, the population is still suffering from poverty, inequality and crime. But, South Africa often functions as a staged parallel world since photographers and models from all over the world find venues for their productions in Cape Town. But what do their staged images really show? The ambivalence in pictures of South Africa is the subject of my work.”
