“We went into the pitch on a main-on-end title sequence with director D. J. Caruso, but soon after, he decided that xXx: Return of Xander Cage needed a transition into his first satellite shot to give it a more comprehensive introduction. We ended up creating the main titles, locator cards, IDs and the main-on-ends, which required more than 20 designers to complete the work; we also finished the main titles in 3-D. The satellite debris required many hours of modeling.”
