“AnyPixel.js is an open-source software and hardware library that makes it possible to use the web to create big, unusual, interactive displays out of all kinds of things. The first instance of AnyPixel is an interactive display wall in the lobby of Google New York that’s made up of 5,880 arcade buttons. Each LED-lit button acts as a pixel so that images, words and designs can be rendered. The entire wall is interactive at all times, reacting as you press the buttons. The software runs on the web, and the software and hardware are all open source.”
