“From a series of posters I worked on with 360i New York for Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi show, The Orville, on Fox. I was asked to create a set of classic sci-fi images, which were going to be used on social outlets and online. Fun job, but again, like The Martian cover for Popular Mechanics, I had limited resources to build the spaceship, which was a fairly complicated design. In the end, it looked great, even if it was missing a few ports and windows. Funnily enough, the surface of the planet was a happy mistake—a 3-D mesh got extruded by accident as I was working on it. I love it when stuff like that happens.”
