“Story about the history of the US antiballistic missile system. My original idea for this piece was just a hand extinguishing a bottle rocket. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense to build some sort of mechanical, military-equipment-looking hand because the system places a lot of its effectiveness on constantly improving the technology and gear year after year.”
