“In the original Alien, the namesake monster is on-screen for less than five minutes. We wanted to capture that visceral terror of the unknown that defines the movie in our poster for a special 35mm screening of the director’s cut. Two twisting layers of type, distorted on a photocopier and printed in black and white inks on black paper, evoke the constant unease, claustrophobia and hidden threats that pervade the film.”
