“Hikeshi is a high-quality clothing line from the Japanese brand Resquad. The concept was inspired by the firefighters of the seventeenth century, during the Edo period, who were considered as highly ranked as samurai. We designed a series of illustrations of these characters using techniques inspired by Japanese art from the era. The typographic selection and color palette modernize the brand, but the selected materials and the composition make Hikeshi a timeless brand.”
