For the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (nospr.org.pl). “Our main purpose was to create a design that would maintain the character of a serious cultural institution for regular visitors, while at the same time enticing new ones. We drew inspiration from the orchestra’s beautiful building, contrasting elements of its structure with its interiors and materials. There is substantial empty space surrounding the grid-building elements on the website, and tiny elements are placed next to large, uniformed backgrounds of color and upscale typography. We preserved a retro-stylistic visual identification by using characteristic fonts. The powerful typography, apart from its role as an information carrier, has also become a key decorative element. Animated transitions between subpages add a musical character to the website and reference the covers of collector’s albums released by Command Records in the 1960s.”
