Personal work. “These flowers were left over from a shoot. They were so beautiful, even as they started to droop, that I just couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. I stashed them in a bag and brought them back to the studio to photograph them. The bag kept getting relocated around the studio for weeks, until I finally pulled them out. They were petrified in their awkward positions. Each flower had its own attitude, and it seemed obvious how they wanted to stand or slouch for their portrait.”
