“Together with designer Bas Koopmans, we created a campaign for Into The Great Wide Open, a Dutch music festival held on Vlieland, a small island. We designed the campaign using weather data in order to capture the rich ambience of the festival and enable people to connect with the weather on an aesthetic level. The generative data poster is based on Vlieland’s weather data, which determined the composition of the poster and the elements on it while maintaining an artistic feel that is in harmony with the festival itself. Over time, the generator produced a variety of compositions, giving insights into the dramatic weather changes upon and surrounding the island. These visuals were harnessed to create several assets for the festival, including posters, brochures, merchandise and stage decorations.”
