“For an Our State magazine feature on North Carolina swimming holes. This young girl was in one of the many swirling pools of Looking Glass Creek, which feeds the insanely fun Sliding Rock, deep in the Pisgah Forest. I’ve long been drawn to the abstract patterns of ripples of water and could not help but notice the similarity in her bathing suit top. She graciously allowed me to photograph her just below the surface of the cold rushing stream.”
