“While Douglass isn’t pronounced with an emphasis on ass, having that word in my last name has still always been something that stood out to me because when you’re a child, such things are a reason for ridicule. Or giggles. Because of that, I notice ass in other words too, and I started to photograph them for fun. One day, I realized that the images curated together really said something... now, what that is exactly is still open to interpretation. In 2019, I was lucky to show my Ass series at the Giant Artists Photography Show at Naud gallery in Los Angeles.”
