Personal work. “From WANA GO TO THE BEACH?, a series of sixteen silkscreen prints, pencil drawings and paintings realized during my 2017 art residency at Waaw in Saint-Louis, Senegal. Observing the garbage and the abandoned objects on Saint-Louis beaches, I let them tell their stories, from the skin lighteners, to the milk bucket that the talibé children use to beg for money for the marabouts, to the dead fishes on Mame Coumba Bang water’s shores, to the goat head and the paradise, the shells, cowries and sand readers.”
