A 10-color silkscreen alternative movie poster for Akira Kurosawa’s Kagemusha. “The main focus was to show the contrast between the two different roles and fates, a thief and a warlord, played by this man who had eventually gone mad. The haunting part of this story is that we witness the psychological transition of this man going from being normal to mad, like a slow burn. Art director Francis Fung and I thought that a diagonal horizon cut through the screen would reflect reality and deceit, and create a sense of unbalance. Plus, the psychedelic intense colors helped to amplify the madness!”
