“Book cover for The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt, written by Riel Nason and illustrated by me. The story is about a quilt ghost who is different from all the other ghosts; in the end, he discovers his uniqueness is a good thing. I was inspired by the look of old photographs and used a muted palette to give the book that feel and let the protagonist pop out. The little ghost looking out at the night sky but also at his reflection represents the heart of what the book was about.”
