“The poetry book Michigan the Sea explores the boundary between perceiving and reading poetic language in two dimensions: visual and verbal. I wrote all six poems during the pandemic beginning in August 2020. As a design solution, I created six experimental font faces to match the narrative of these six experimental poems.”
