“With a mission to present thought-provoking experimental work to a broader community, the Institute of Contemporary Art, San Diego (ICA/SD) needed an identity that would invite people into the art experience. Our solution uses an extra bold C to highlight the museum’s contemporaneity while creating a memorable mark at small sizes. A set of stylized alternate Cs emphasizes a dynamic, ever-changing programming philosophy. In headlines, the C becomes shorthand for the word see, reminding everyone there’s always something new to C at ICA/SD.” Typefaces: TT Norms, Palo.
