“System is a modernist, neogrotesk sans family. Utilitarian in nature, the typeface draws inspiration from wayfinding infographics in European and US art galleries. My idea for System was to create two subfamilies, one transparent and another with more character. The two subfamilies Blank and Grotesk explore the concept of neogrotesk versus grotesk. Optically balanced forms with a graphic personality enables System to be used in various settings, from logotypes to very small body text.”
