“Curated by Cosmin Costinaş and Inti Guerrero, the 24th Biennale of Sydney, titled Ten Thousand Suns, attempts to evoke a multithreaded curatorial conversation regarding colonial powers, climate challenge and cultural multiplicities. Rejecting the concept of a dooming apocalypse and one mighty cultural singularity, Ten Thousand Suns proposes instead the radiance and warmth of ten thousand suns, illuminating a collective future not only possible but necessary to be lived in irrepressible joy and plentitude in common humanity.
“Paired with four different typefaces, the identity design and animations embrace vivid and saturated colors, intertwine layers of the cosmological fantasy, and invite different suns surrounding closely on the borders to take turns and shine on the center stage—this time, multiple suns at a time.”
