“The concept of focus serves both the creation and experience of film, guiding everything from the act of filming to curation. For the 2024 iteration of the Aranya Waves Film Festival, held in Qinghuangdao, China, we embodied the concept of focus in its design by using a frame as its central element. Contrasts of clarity and blur immerse viewers in the filmic experience, and the visual construction reflects the layered depth within each frame and the complexities of the film industry.”
