“‘The Orchid Edition’ marks the first chapter of Plant Diary, an ongoing series capturing the plants I meet and the moods of each season. It all began in late summer 2023, with a blooming orchid I spotted at the front desk of Wenwen, a Taiwanese restaurant in Brooklyn. From that moment to early summer this year, I documented nine lovely orchids—some encountered out in the world, others growing at home—along with the shifting moods and atmosphere of each season.”
