"This was another of the series of photographs for the New York City Ballet's 2001-2002 ad campaign. Because it was for the Ballet, some of the locations provided unusual access. In this case, the Customs House allowed us time to shoot on Sunday when the building was vacant. The building has a beautiful spiral staircase which would normally be occupied by judges rushing up and down. The dancer is Alexandra Ansanelli."
