"My personal work is not only more difficult to make, but equally hard to talk about. I am interested in Nature and its seemingly tenuous place in the modern world. I try to depict a momentary suspension, a glimpse into the state of the natural world at this point in time. I keep changing the painting until a balance of beauty, fluctuation and tension has been found. And then if I have the wherewithal to stop painting, I do."
