"This poster is part of the promotional collateral for the 2003 Monterey Design Conference put on by the American Institute of Architects. The poster references two interpretations of the 'Doing Good' theme: the individual growth and satisfaction that makes one produce good work, and the act of doing work that gives back to society. These two facets can't flourish without each other, thus the poster has no true top or bottom. It can be hung in either vertical orientation, highlighting 'give' or 'grow' without denying the ying-yang relationship between them. The collage hand image represents a unified group's power to foster change. We 'did good' by printing the poster on eco-friendly New Leaf Paper and reused the poster overruns for the conference program covers," said creative director Eric Heiman.
