"Classic Graphics, a Southeastern printer, initiated a poster project with a group of design firms. The subject matter or cause was up to them. The design team at Mitre chose to look in their own backyard for inspiration, using the poster as a springboard for a much bigger initiative of their own—Make a Scene," said creative director Troy Tyner. "Make a Scene is a citizen call-to-action. Its purpose is to help others understand that everyone plays a vital role in building a healthy, well-rounded 'hometown' by supporting the areas that form the unique fabric and culture of our local community—music, theater, art, trade. What began as a simple exercise has expanded to additional offline marketing materials, special events and a soon-to-launch community Web site."
