"This is one of a campaign for Nokia, with the headline 'A very simple pleasure.' I wanted to give the heads themselves an iconic feel by taking the lighting and expressions to a dramatic extreme. Painstaking care was taken in lighting, printing and post to make the heads as interesting and perfect as possible to fit the mood of the images I was trying to achieve. Sometimes I tend to be a perfectionist; on this campaign I felt it was needed to make as simple a subject as a face into a moody iconic image that gives the headline more meaning."
