"For a story titled 'HARK!' by Ed McBain, about a couple entangled together in a crime involving deception, money and sex. This was an unusual project for me in that it's a mystery thriller, and I appreciate assignments that challenge the way I typically express a piece of writing. Working with art director Tim Hussey was great because he is an illustrator too, and without overstepping the realm of professionalism, he tells me just to 'do my thing' and trusts my vision entirely. It's not so often that such freedom is allowed, so my intuition was able to unfold as I worked on the piece, which is similar to the unconscious way I create personal work." 9 x 11.
