"Twelve-week-old Victoria Santos Reyes, photographed for the Dallas Morning News. Victoria was photographed at her baptism wearing a typical Catholic baptismal dress as part of a series of portraits on the clothing associated with the different religions. The lens was made from a medium-format loupe turned backwards and mounted onto a Hasselblad camera body using flexible rubber material as a bellows. It was a tough assignment that I knew would need a little something extra. The selective focus and radial blur of the reversed loupe glass gave the portraits a unique look that you couldn't get from any other lens and lent itself well to the ethereal subject matter."
